Hey guys, just wondering, i got my AU XR6 lowered about 3 months ago and since then the ride has gotten rough, i went and got a safety check done and nothing was found to be wrong, i was thinking do i need to get shortened shocks to help my bad riding problem?

How low did you go? did you get Super lows or SSL's?

The standard shocks should handle super lows with little effort but, having said that it also depends on how much work the poor buggers have done. You have IRS and there is a housing at the back/Top for each shock absorber that gives trouble on those, might be worth investigating?

Doesn't sound like SSL's. Like I said, maybe the shocks are just tired? Maybe the control arm bushes could be slightly worn? Why don't you go and see http://www.wholesalesuspension.com.au/ in Coreen Ave in Penrith and let them take a look? I have used them before and they are good blokes.

It will be the standard shocks getting stuffed!

Sounds like you've had super lows put in, which will kill standard shocks pretty quickly.

yes, as private9 said. its most likely the shocks hitting the end of their travel all the time due to the fact that the working range of the standard shock has been reduced with the drop in ride height. Shortend shocks should fix the problem
