Got a build up of grime and stuff on my EL arm rests and want to know what is a good product and process to clean them. Have tried the normal spray and wipe and a rag but just seams to clean the high spots and leave the lower parts of the bumpy suface dirty. Is the old tooth brush the go with something good ?

You could try spraying the grime with Preen and rubbing the it down with a damp hand towel. The hand towel fibres will pick up the grime.
It worked fine on my Fairmont interior.

Usually a soapy rag works better than household products.
I use ABS cleaner and have used wd40

my new fav product is pyro oil it comes from supercheap for like 8 bucks a can . cleans ,gives an unbelievabley even and shiney coating(silicone)
lasts for months and smellz like oranges. |

I like the preen idea but dont like silicone products as they tend to be slippery and like armoral you have to keep using it. Thanks guys for the input. Just need a nice day to wash the old girl and give her a polish with a full interior clean. But we need the rain more right now.

I recently cleaned my fairmont ghia interior for my ED, I used velvet soap and a house hold brush, they came up pretty good.

Scotchbrite and soapy water works well.

I took all mine off and hit em with the karcher, Cleaned the crap out real good and also did the material while i was there, some of the colours that came out where yuck

"Spray and wipe" and a nail brush works great for me.
You really need the nail brush to get into the texture grooves. Then I normally give a coat of Armor All or similar as the spray and wipe takes any sort of protection off it. On this topic, what's the best cleaning method for leather? I have also used the spray and wipe and brush method which works great but I wouldnt want to do it a lot as it seems a bit harsh. |

I just use the Morning Fresh from the kitchen, the Scotch scrubber and a dry towel...works a charm.
