I've got an AUIII XR8 ute that I bought a few months ago which has an annoying throttle response issue.
If I give the accelerator a quick stab, it will take the car about 1 - 2 seconds to respond, and after it revs, it will almost die out sometimes. Even if I'm doing 100km/h and I put my foot into it, ti'll still take a few secs to respond. Also, I don't think it has traction control, but if I floor it from a standing stop, it will spin briefly, then just slowly pick up, and my tyres are almost bald on the back. Or If I'm trying to stoke the tyres up, after I let my foot off the brake, the revs will die down and it'll just take off normally. Any idea what could be causing these probs? Other than that it runs fine. Not sure what's done to it engine wise, but it has a shaker hooked up and a nice twin exhaust system, which I believe was done by Black Mac Performance in Perth. It may also have a mild cam too, 'cause it's lumpy-ish. If anyone knows what the problem could be then it'd be appreciated. |

Is the MAF clean and is your TPS set correctly at 0.98 volts.
Do a search for TPS voltage. It to you how to check and set.
