I'm looking for pistons to suit my Twisted Wedge heads, but in a 4.125" bore. Was talking to a guy today and he said the 23* Chevy 400 piston should do the job. Does anyone know if the valve reliefs in the 23* piston will suit the twisted wedge valves?
The 347 pistons have a compression distance of between 1.080 - 1.1". I've found some of the chev pistons with the 4.125" bore but with compression distances of either 1.062" or 1.125". I figure that if I use the smaller one, I'd be losing compression, but if I used the 1.125, could I just go with a thicker head gasket? Assuming the 23* valve relief is suitable, that is.

Looks like I needn't worry about the Chevy pistons after all.
I just found some 4.125 pistons to suit twisted wedge at Diamond. Are Diamond pistons any good?

tried JE? i know they do them to suit the 4.125 bore but im not sure if they do any to suit your heads.

Cheers fellas. Diamond seem to be the only ones I can find online with the pistons to suit twisted wedge in a 4.125" bore. I'll probably end up going with them.
s-tranzor, just doing a bit of research mate for what should be a stout bottom end rebuild. Just doing everything the hard way!
