Hey all,
Wheres the best/easiest place to jack an EL with a trollley jack? In this case for the front. I don't want to use the sill where you would use a scissor jack as I don't want that lip supporting it. I've read K frame and somewhere else but not sure exactly where these areas are. A pic from underneath would be great. I also read somewhere that theres a specific place to put the stands, once again not on the sills though. Same question - a pic anywhere? I tried to use search but alas its still playing up. |

i just use the chassis rails for the stands but I'm stuck with the old scissor jack for the front as the car is to low for the trolley to fit under.

i just the k-frame..My cars also too low, but i now use a low profile jack, and drive over 2 planks of wood on each side to make it a little higher so i can clear the jack under the bumper

K-frame
there is the front part of it just under the crank pulley then there is another cross beam going right under the middle of the sump just behind the sump drain bolt, middle of that beam.

It's not recommended but i recently put my trolley jack underneath the towing point. There is one on each side.
If you can do the front of the k-frame as mentioned that's good. Even if you can find a way to do the part of the k-frame behind the sump, you will probably find it impossible to crank the hand and get lift, and unless you have a long handle it'll be really awkward.
