i THINK 6X9's fit but you would need to check
and if they done a small filler plate would be all thats needed to raise the 6X9 off the mounting

ohh if u want to keep teh factory size
clarion do a good 5X7

How much better are the Clarions than the Pioneers? I've always used Pioneer and my old speakers never had an issue. The AU speakers have never done me wrong, but do sound a bit like they're being tortured with bass sometimes.

yeh fourL6 is right. i have a set of alpine type r 5x7 splits in my au up front. they are actually a 5 1/4in with a tweeter that both mount into a supplied 5x7 bracket. they are a really really good speaker. and it also keeps the split hidden, if thats your thing

you're best of getting an adapter plate to change your 5x7 speaker hole to a 6" or 6 1/2" speaker as you will get such a better range to choose from. whats your set budget for your stereo as this would help making recommendations on products alot easier.
