Are looking to fit a new complete exhaust system to my Ef I6 as the extractors are cracked and F**ked and the rest of the exhaust looks like a cowboy job. Had a look through all the exhaust threads I could find and still haven't found a complete answer. In short i've narrowed it down to fitting either a difillipo system (with the headers ceramic coated) or the Jmm system (with the hpc coated race series headers) and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with either of these? Good? Bad? Waste of cash?

Thanks in advance

I've got the Jmm race series an my car and I rate them highly don't think I'd bother with the hpc but.

What are your intentions with the car later on down the track?
Thats the first thing you should look at.
If it'll just be a cruiser, id say go extractors/catback exhaust.
If you choose the turbo route, dont bother.

None the less - Either JMM or Pacemaker are a good maker of headers. All depending on personal preference. Neither will be an advantage or disadvantage over the other.

Exhaust, is just an exhaust in the end. You wont have more power then everyone else because of going JMM. Its the engine you want to focus on.

My opinion - Just go which ever headers are cheapest (Mandrel bent in mind) + Normal 2.5" catback. Mind you, i wouldnt really bother with the HPC coating.

:) Enjoy!

As doofus said, just go with a good set of headers which have been known to be good products, like Pacemaker. Either pacemaker 4499's or the competition set 4480's will do

Then a 2.5" mandrel bent system like Redback or Lukey to finish the rest of the exhaust

But if you plan to turbo it in the future, dont bother, you'll need a different exhaust manifold to suit the turbo and probably a bigger diameter exhaust
