i have seen this before... pull your pads and check the edges make sure there flat and not cut in on the edges (wedged in) handbrake never works in reverse so that might be a clue.... your best bet lube the slides adjust hanbrake off line lock the brake lines and see what happens... dont drive on the street though you will have HQ holden brakes (snake brakes) and no one wants that

If u can't do a burnout on the street, then why do u want to warm up the tyres? U will not loose traction when launching if u can't pull a burnout..

but to answer your question, i found the drag burnout easy as s**t in my ef fairmont with lsd..did not even need full throttle and it was smoking both tyres..

if you hold my ba to 1500 rpm on the brakes it will bag it no worries (with 245/20s). and when i took it down the strip i had 215/16s on, held it at 2100 before launch and the track is so sticky it wouldnt even turn off the line. where usually it would blacktrack to 65/70km/h

Depending on the track you go too, there should be a 'burnout box', which is watered down.
The guys in the staging lane will guide you so your back wheels are just out of it.
Do your burnout there, with street cars it is less about heating up the tyre and more about cleaning any dirt/stones off of them.
Basically just get your wheels spinning on the brake, then slowly bring it out of the burnout box onto the staging lane, still on the brake.
It might bog down, but it doesn't matter, it will be more then enough, burnout finished.
Then just ease it up the christmas tree and stage.
Whatever you do, don't try and take your burnout past the staging lights and then reverse back, it will be f**k gay and people will think you are a wanker.

Dom if you used the same rubber on those rims as what was there when i sold em to you its no wonder they lit up like christmas trees, and smoked like no tomorrow, they would bag on me at 50km/h with a well timed gear change. Hard as nails and as old as moses those tyres.

skid does not really equate to much really, if you have some good tyres and good performance from the motor, a small skid to put a little heat into them is good, but most average joe tyres will generate as much traction with heat as without.

i wanna run my ef on the weekend but it cant do a standstill so was wondering if it makes it easier on the track

Try stalling it up a bit, then foot off brake for a split second then slam it back on the brake:lol:, that should work

Sometimes my Fairmont bogs down due to my grippy tires on dry road, cost me almost 1k for the set so they better have good grip lol
