Those rubbers you pulled out look blue, aftermarket plastic stuff, not original rubber.

Those nolathane arms look considerably weaker than the originals, unless they use a very thick wall, in which case they would be much heavier.

I have two EB's and an EL all with over 225,000kms and all the original bushs in the lower control arms are working fine.

mine seems to vibrate quite heavy in first when taking it out in the revs then after second between say 2500 and 3500rpm its quite noticeable after that it smooths out im thinking tailshaft unbalance as i've replaced a worn uni only after 3mths of driving.

what do other people think?

To relaxed_diplomacy,

I dunno with the blue bushes, they could have been replaced with existing owner i thought maybe they where the originals.

As for the Nolethane control arms, they where pretty heavy and had very thick walls and IMO they looked alot sturdier than the ones that came off.

To Mystro,

Have you replaced your control arms and had success in fixing your problem?

Not liking this new forum much...Miss the quick reply option

Biggav, does the vibration get more noticable when you gather speed???

Also, make sure your tailshaft bolts are tight (I've had a problem when the tailshaft bolts had come loose, the vibration was only in and out though).

shaft bolts should/would be tight as just replaced the unis front and rear(rear was flogged to s**t) after 3500 in second(thats the main time it really shudders) it smooths out and gets up and going.

I don't think it's the tailshaft, it could be something within the gearbox??? or maybe loose/worn Engine Mounts???

I'm really not the best person to ask when it comes to gearbox's, I find the best thing with this kind of thing is to do stuff like, make sure the engine mounts are in good nic and they are tight, same goes for the gearbox mounts, I don't think it's anything to do with suspension rubbers.

Really I think it's something internal in the Gearbox, but you never know, it could be something that's just a simple fix.
