I know you aren't meant to touch Halogen bulbs, but as many will know installing the RH globe on a BA is very hard with the battery so close to the light.
Can I wear Latex gloves? Because not touching the globe is near impossible. One website said you can use paper towel or clean it off after touching it, but has no mention of latex gloves. |

i hold the globes with a single tissue when im installing them. pretty sure it dosent harm them.

Because the two I have installed have blown relatively quickly, and they blow a lot quicker if you touch them a Lot which I am sure I did.

Would it not be easier to maybe take the headlight out to do it?

or take the battery out.... that would be easier than re-adjusting the headlight position so that you don't blind on-coming traffic.
I took the battery out of my EF to do the headlights. Took longer but I've only had to do it once. Long time ago, too. |

All halogens are the same...
I do stage lighting and in a par can admittedly they are so simply to change in that instance... they come in a paper bag and you just pop the pins out and hold the bulb inside the bag... the thing that causes them to blow is the oil on your skin... not sure why... but as far as i know thats it... so tissues... paper... gloves whatever... just no oil... and if you do i'm pretty sure a cleaning alcohol will get it back off... never tried this though as i've just simply never touched them... never had any troubles...
