hey, just wondering if any one got any tips on mould bf ba bodykits to el?

thi has been covered quite a few time's before...

you can now buy an BF Typhoon bar thats bolts straight onto an ef fairmont.. -may even be able to be supplied to fit other models.. ie) el gli/futura/????

"NEWGEL" in canberra sell the bars for around 580-$600 inc spotties and mesh fitted.. pre-primed..

side skirts i have not heard of a bolt on product yet... mine were chopped and shortened 40mm by paulc then i had to trim the sill of the skirt to align up propperly..

rear bars are sold on ebay.. baxr-ef el bolt up... rare though.. but thave seen it twice on ebay...

how much of this kind of stuff have you done before? If this is a first then will be a good learning curve, if somewhat steep.

A number of us on here have done similar to what you're looking to achieve.
I used a BA XT bar on my EF.

Most of us tackled it without having experience in the matter and managed to pull it off.

yeh this is going to be first time, but also saying im not able to make a mistake and go buy another bar cause cash is a problem as alot of people latly.
would it be possible to mould a plastic top el bar to bottem fiberglass of a BF GT bar?
it will look nice once all done indeed but just wana do it right

cant see why an el to bf gt bar couldnt work!!

i grafted the top of an ef fairmont bar to an ba gt bar.. wasnt perfect.. but was unique... pictures in my gallery... was also my 1st time...

yeh thats were i got the idea of GT front bar, the pics of your white Mont, looked reall nice, an i read about it gettin wrecked, gotta hate it. would i be able to mould plastic standerd bar to a fiberglass bottom of GT bar? not sure with fiber glass on fiberglass bodykit will work or not...

my top half ef fairmont bar section was factory and made of plastic.. the BA GT bar i chopped in half to use the lower section was fibreglass... -it worked... :idea: :wink:

sweet, that was one of my big worries that fiberglass bottom wouldnt work. how did you cut the bars and keep them strait?
