hey guys, i couldn't find anywhere to introduce myself,
so ill do it here:

hi, im Brett, and im primarily a x-series ford lover,
my old daily (red 87 xf) has become unreliable, and my project (silver 84 ZL turbo) is now up in echuca

so i needed a new daily, and found myself this!:

a 95 LTD (DF), shes a great car! is tickford optioned (sunroof and LPG) and has mint interior apart for the steering wheel and the sifter knob.
a VERY comfy car do drive, the leather seats do a good job, and the sunroof is great apart from it having a slight air leak (no water gets through from rain)

shes a tad dirty/dusty and has lots of bug guts on the front cause i drove her to echuca yesterday and back, and then to the AFD today,
which brings me to why im here, spotted a few VERY nice cars there from this site!
so here i am lol

hope to meet a bunch of yous in the real world

ahhhahahaha! dont worry, no electric supercharger related questions from me,
besides, im pretty positive they're just a "pc fan" inside a pipe lol, what a waste...

yea, shes not bad, first thing i need to do is get a decent set of extractors,
and a manifold combo thats not so restrictive...

are GRA throttle bodys hard to place on these? cause the throats look too narrow,
but i dislike the "gas ring" this has that goes right after the TB, makes it go "POP" sometimes lol

thanks guys, yea, shes been great so far, a massive improvement over the xf lol

had another super close inspection, and the wheels are mint! next to no gutter marks at all! so i think ill keep them for a while, just need to unlock some of the power i can feel hidden inside the engine
sounds like it suffocates when i rev it...

ok, made my first modification 2day,

i know you can buy those air-boxes with the part to take a pod-filter, but i dont have the cash for that right now,
so i made my own, went to autobarn around the corner from my place and picked up a pod-filter and one of those silly adaptors, 2gether cost me $50 but i had a gift card so i lost $1.75 off it or something lol.

(yea, i called the adaptor silly, only becuase it would take me a few hours at trade school to make one and cost me nothing at all... instead i paid $20 for it...)

anyhow, heres the end result:

next i think ill do something about that bottom half of the box, the little snorkel seems rather restrictive,
ill also take my old air-flow meter (which is bust) and mill out the insides to try gain a little more air-flow... just for something to do is all, im still going to replace the whole thing lol

so, total cost so far: $50
future air-filter cost: $25 if i buy cheapys
