I've got an EF Ghia with a stuffed gearbox. I'm waiting for confirmation of the availability of an EB Falcon that has had a minor prang. I will get some other useful bits of the wreck as it is complete, though I wont bother removing the K-Frame unless it can be used in a BA Turbo engine conversion for my EF.
Are all E Series K-Frames the same, or are EA/EB/ED different from EF/EL? Thanks Chris |

EA to ED use are the same except that 6 and 8 are different.
EF and EL are different and are the same for 6 and 8. EF/EL is a better design, and provides for better geometry etc, as well as using much larger lower control arm bushes. While it is a good idea for an EA-ED owner to swap in an EF-EL K Frame, it would be going backwards the other way. BenJ

Thanks mate. Still worth getting the EB wreck for the box, though you just saved me a lot of unnecessary hassle removing a K-frame that is worthless to me.
Cheers Chris |
