Hello,
I want to change the Sparkplugs on a ED 6cyl, first of all what is the offical Torque settings to install the sparkplugs, I was told this is VERY IMPORTANT.... is this true? I'm using the bosch plugs from Supercheap. Also can I get a Torque wrench from supercheap? |

finger tight then 1/4 turn. I use a t-bar handle spark plug remover/installer($10 from supercheap).

For answers to this question, and 1000s of others, go out and buy a Gregorys or similar workshop manual. You will never regret it. It is one of the most important parts of my toolkit.

You will regret it. Gregory's are useless, I found that out the hard way.
Max Ellery's are far superior. |

learn to get a feeling for fasteners.... you want them tight but not tight enough to strip the thread out of the head.... and remember, the plugs are steel, the head is ally, so the head is the sacrificial here. they really don't need to be that tight, i think it's only 15nm by memory, maybe 25.
you will soon know if they(re) not tight enough when you loose compression and it blows fuel out the plug holes and runs like a bag of shyte.
