Just changed my au head gasket for a stock permaseal one and wanted to know how thick they both are?

i havnt measured them personally but ive been told that the std headgasket is aprox 40 thou. and the au metal gasket is aprox 25 thou..

thats what ive been told...

most composite type gaskets compress to 0.040", the AU MLS compresses to 0.019". A lot of aftermarket gaskets can be bought in various thicknesses.
