Does anyone know if the centre part of an EF-AU steering wheel (the bit with the flats for the steering column, photo linked for reference) is able to be pressed out or something to replace it?

I've got a steering wheel that somebody has drilled to remove it by the looks of it.
It has been drilled about half way down the flats, so there is still plenty of grip for the steering column, but if its possible I would like to get it fixed up properly.
