Ok, the car broke down the other week and the racq guy reckoned it was the ignition module on the distributor. Bought a new dizzy and replaced it, still did not go, appeared to be getting no gas (read - ford-lpg-hydrogen-hho-cng-conversions-electric-f44/impco-converter-problem-t75442.html ). Now it appears to be getting gas but has a weak spark/no spark at all . I am guessing coil maybe? Before I throw anymore money at it, I thought I would check on here to see if it could be anything else. The car is seriously pissing me off now and is about to have its windscreen kicked in if is does not start real soon . It is an 1990 EA S pac with multipoint and 4sp auto

does it run on regular petrol? gas needs a better spark to ignite, the same thing happened with my EB wagon, replaced the coil first then the dizzy ran fine afterwards, but being a weak spark i would either replace the coil or check your leads, or do both.

When you replace a dizzy, you need to replace the coil too, so as to keep warranty on the dizzy.
How good are the HT leads?????
