Well went to start the car today and it wont. The ignition barrel has colapsed inside or so it seems. The key justs turns free in the barrel without turning anything. Oh well luck for extended manufactures warrinty hey. Any one else had this prob??

Next step is probably a nice exhaust or stage 2 stereo.

no, but i think the combo swich in my bf is phuked, initially the internal lights turned off with use of the blinkers while the lights were on, and now i have no interior lights (including dash) they just blink and buzz on and off really rapidly when you use the blinkers, and when you turn the high beams on they come back.
can pretty much guarantee this is the last ford i ever buy, ever.specially if they ars3 the straight 6. actually the last australian produced car i ever buy.
only bought this one because i've got a fetish for straight 6's and the skyline is the only alternative and theres something very un-attractive about new age hyundai excels (aka skylines)
even nissan has canned the straight 6, whats wrong with the world ? stupid carbon credit schemes.
mind you after 30+ odd years if ford still can't get a straight 6 to idle then they might aswell give up and suck up off america, like they have with pretty much everything these days.

BMW still do straight sixes.

As do a couple other manufacturers - CAT, Cummins, etc..

I also think this will be the last ford that I buy. The drivers side central locking motor is 3 months old and has packed it in again cost 100 a pop 2.

Yes true but seems to be more frequent now. I work in the mines on the big gear and dont have many problems with the same type of gear.
