Hi all.
I have an NC V8. I noticed last night that the interior lights were flickering in the car. I suuspected the voltage regulator and tested it and with the car running the battery was reading 15.6V! No the question is can the voltage regulators be changed on these or must the alternator be pulled apart by an autoelec? in my last car it was just a matter of unbolting it from the back of the alternator and bolting in a new one. i heard these are internal? any info would be appreciated as i cannot drive it until its soughted Many thanks! |

same story, pull the alternator out, pull the regulator out of the back of the alt like you said, blow any dust out, spin the alt over to check the bearings, fit the new regulator in and reinstall the alternator
its only the rectifier board that requires a lot of work if they go wrong |
