my mates got a car thats a little too low.
whats the best way to get it up to scratch again? ive heard pedders use spacing blocks to left the different side of the car to get it perfectly level. is it just easier to grab a different set of springs?

In my Red EB I had S/Low springs in the rear, but it was a tad too low. I purchased Nolathane 10mm spacers which sat above the spring, raising it 10mm. I believe you can get thicker versions as well. They were $30 through my local suspension place.

Similar to this but cheaper if you want, there are already rubber rings atop the rear coils. If you get a second pair, you can modify them to get up to about 15mm of lift. You can't really go more than this anyway because the coil might come out. You need to remove material to make them flat, and fit them above the existing ones. On the front you could make up some aluminium spacers for the top of the strut. If this interests you i can give more detail. If you would rather spend money than mod, get new springs.

My car had raised springs before I got it as the previous owner had a horse float and drops the rear significantly when towing it. Depending how high you want to go, I still have them around.

Cartridge inserts are the shock component of a strut assembly, like those fitted to the front of commodores.
Falcons have a coil over design at the front, and there is no cartridge. Some people call the coil overs on the front of falcons a strut, but they are a coil over, they do not function as a strut.
