hi all
need some info on the BTR box
it's just started playing up the speed o went funny then stopped working and then it kicked back to 3rd . when i got the car home it struggled to get up the ramps , looked for anything out of place ,nothing no leaks, speed o gear is in and plugged up . the oil level is ok but black and has a bit of a burnt smell to it .
reverse is ok , put it into drive and you need to put the foot down for it to move.

is this just a case of it needing a service or is it something else

Couple of things to check, Speedo transducer & the Gear selector switch.
