You got to pull back the liner inside the wheel arch, and undo it from there, if tis power one, you have to disconnect wires from inside, near ECU, as well as the aerial cord.

Its not too hard if you get the right aerial. i went down and got myself a new one, installed it in a few minutes. Then ford had a shifting sale, and ended up putting most things in the shop up for sale. So i picked up a fully motorised aerial for my falcon for a total of.... $4.00 Bargain

BARGAIN, quoted me $70+ just for the mast and tail. Got a replacement from Supercheap for $21. A complete from SC is only $119.

its not too hard to do, ive had to do it once myself.
Jack the car up on the front left (chock the wheels, thats a given) Front left wheel comes off... Inner guard comes off (Dont break the gay little clips that dont like to go back in) Take off the mud flap (If applicable) Peel away all the padding and plastic sheathing from under the aerial (May take some elbow grease) Remove the plastic panel that covers the ECU in the passenger side foot well. Unhook the antenna wire and the power cable. I cant remember how it comes out from there on in but it should be pretty self explanatory cause I know it wasnt too hard. A motorised antenna costs about $120 I picked up a cheap non motorised replacement for $40 which does the job, unfortunately some d**k bent it so it now is on the same angle as my windshield.... doesnt look terrible but not great either... its a racing antenna ! |

If you're going to replace it, why not get an EF/EL Fairmont/Fairlane one.. Electric.
