How do you tell whether or not a BF XR6 has DSC and LSD eg. is there a sticker or code on the ID plate which indicated these features?. I'm just wondering whether my recent purchase is fitted with these goodies or not.

take it for a slide..... i mean ride

the diff is tagged and the dsc has a button that looks like it enables fishtails when dis-engaged (slippery when wet sign)

mind you i've noticed that the std independant rear is still very partial to chalking up two legs. must be a balance thing.

put it in neutral and jack up the back. see if the wheels are independant or not. most likely if its a xt its stocko, xr? well for a normal xr i doubt most people would have bothered, but not super rare

Go to your friendly Ford dealer to the parts counter, give him your VIN and he can tell you what was fitted as standard by FORD and also the minor features, These things are listed in Microcat. :)

really papa smurf ? thats awsome, have heard a little bout this but nothing solid. might try it tomorow.

pretty easy to tell though, one hard opposite lock corner (do it in the grass if your worried bout tearing something out) and you will know, it has a flashing light to let you know when it's active just like the traction control. which i've found is quite gay, i went to pull out in traffic today and got a bit of wheelspin so the ecu decided it would half my torque output leaving my nearly motionless lol.

on a totally un-related topic my mate just bought some new fancy pants holden with some claimed ridiculous horsepower figure only to find that when you turn the traction control off it still works, just to a lesser extent, when taken back to the dealer was told it's completely normal. WTF?!?! thats why i run fords.what you see is what you get.
