Any one know of or used a metal polisher they would recomend in brissie area? i have a set of rims i'd like to get polished. Been to see 1 guy who wanted $150 a wheel which was rediculous for what needs to be done, and in any case, i wouldn't trust him with my property so i just walked away.

are you talking about a cast alloy wheel, that has factory paint or rough surface etc. or a machine faced wheel that only needs the clear coat removed and buffed up again?

if its the first one, then $150 per wheel is very fair, as ive done 2 wheels before and gave up after that as there was a s**t of hours involved. I guess with the right tools, it would only be 2 hours per wheel, but still, your paying for them to save you red raw hands, and a lungfull of metal dust

yeah it's more like the the first but it's not a full wheel that needs to be done. i've had a go myself and gave up cause i just can't get into the corners with the tools i have and i'm not gonna spend any more on tools for something i can't do. i'll take some pics when i get a chance. i'm begining to tink about giving up and painting them silver...

yeah might be slightly cheaper if you strip the paint, hit with primer, and get a panel shop to spray them shadow chrome or similar?

i had some ROH wheels in shadow chrome paint, and they looked f**k nice



and the wheels i was working on...... took me 10 hours EACH wheel !!
