Yup, got one on my ED wagon. Of course you have to have an electric one if going EL, not a manual one as the EL's don't have the finger hole (I think they are all the same).

Everything but the GLi as far as I know - mine is a late '94 ED GLi and was manual as was a GLi 93 EBII I had, although also grabbed a flap from a GLi EF which was finger hole but was also electric.

Word of advice. Try to find one from a late EL wagon. Most EF/EL wagons had the boxcar style but late ELs got the later one. It'll make the job a LOT easier as it's just about bolt-on. I just had to modify the latch a little bit to get it to sit flush. It already had the boxcar style hinge on it.

If you get one from a sedan, you'll find you have to change the hinge over to the EA-ED style, and will need to use a few washers to space out the hinge. I tried it and gave up because I was having trouble getting the hinge all closed up again. The latch also needs modifying on the later one (basically drilling an extra hole). It is a worthwhile mod though

Nah, same problem as the regular sedan. You can make them fit but the wagon one is the easier option. Remember Ford didn't change the wagon rear panels at all between EA-EL. That's one reason why EF and early EL wagons still used the EA-ED fuel flap, as they didn't change the bolt locations like on the sedan. For some reason at some point when the EL was out, Ford decided to change to the newer style fuel flap on the wagon, so they changed the hinge and modified the latch to fit the EA-style rear bodywork.

They're probably different. I wouldn't use one of them.
