Hi Guys

I have a 04 model BA Falcon.... the issue is everytime I break and turn to lock on the right hand side I get a strange vibration. You can feel it going up throuhg the steering wheel, I had it checked out and the mechanic gave it a power steering flush but that didnt work..... Does anyone know what it might be.... i thought it might have been a brake pad rubbing..... Any help would be great.

Cheers

From what you're describing, it sounds like the power steering pump (complaining). With the steering is on full lock, the pump can't circulate the fluid. It's more noticable on some cars than others.

Now, who's the first shoot down my theory! :D

Thanks guys for your answer..... I will take it to a mechanic and see what they come up with.... How much would it be to replace it.

Cheers

You can go into place's such as Burson's, hand in your old one, and they give you a reco pump in exchange.

Well, at least I think anyway, your's is a BA, so it's still newish but it's still worth asking somebody like that, the company that does the reco's is Power Steering Australia.

it's called cavitation and it's factory on ba falcons, not so much on bf but. Be prepared to change to rack also, once done you shouldn't ever have another problem with it.
