sorting out a few options for the motor i am building
Will fitting a BBM Mani without in hooking up the runners be better over the standard log manifold? |

Without hooking up the BBM switching, no.
In fact, there is plenty of debate regarding which is the better manifold when the BBM is working. Unless you do it properley, I don't think it is worth the time, effort or expense. BenJ

stick to the log if your not going to set the butterflies to open up... otherwise your ride will be very dog like down low.. -slow...

Hiya, Since you have an ED, to put in a BBM, you need to use a EL ECU, (works fine in a ED) But when you are installing it, you need to have the VSV valve if you are getting the parts from a another car, the VSV valve is behind the window washer bottle, you need to run a wire from it, to the ECU, (i can't remember what pin) i think it was 5????? onto a EL ECU, you need to sort out the vacuum line, because the VSV valve only works one way .. and then you have the 3 prong vacuum lines on the BBM (right next to the top rear breather hose of the rocker cover)
Its not that had to do, you need to cut your wires for the TPS ISC, and join them onto the BBM TPS ISC, they are all the same color, its not that had to do, The VSV valve might take a few goes cos it runs on vacuum, as soon as you start the car, the BBM switch should move, and when you rev it to also 4000 it changes postion to long or short (i forget) runners! Good luck! Laticia.
