Yep, the wire in question is a Red/White Stripe wire found at the ICC, or the steering column.

Is resistance multiplexed, so each button gives a different reading...

Vol - 0Ohms
Vol + 560Ohms
Seek 1560Ohms
Media 3360Ohms

Has any one worked out these as volts for the resistances of the audio.

This is the voltage vs resistance for the cruise control

Switch ----------------- Voltage Range --- Resistance (± (V) 5% Ω)
Circuit Default (none) 4.5 - 4.8 ---------- 4,330
RES COAST -------------4.0 - 4.3 ---------- 1,630
SET + --------------------3.2 - 3.8 ---------- 810
SET - ---------------------2.1 - 3.0 ---------- 420
CRUISE ------------------ 0 - 0.4 ----------- 0

Vol+ 1.0v
Seek 2.1v
Media 3.1v
