Hey guys, I own an Ef series II Xr8 (Auto) and an Ef I6 futura (manual)
I'm looking at converting the Xr to manual, i bought the 6cyl not knowing that the manual from it won't bolt up to the Xr8. I was just after some help in figuring out what i CAN and what i CAN'T use from the futura. I've heard different things from different people, some tell me the flywheel is different, i've heard that the input shaft is different and some say they are actually different length boxes. I know that the bellhousing and gearbox are different, although i can still use the box. I also have no idea what to do on the ECU side of things. Any help would be greatly appreciated Jarred

barnacus used a 6cyl t5 on his v8. from memory he needed a new input shaft, new bellhousing, and a few other parts.
best bet is to pm him and ask him what needed to be changed over |

www.rodshop.com.au They sell for $587 a bellhousing that will adapt your box to fit the 8, then buy a new flywheel, grab a clutch pedal pin kit from malwood automotive, do the ECU trick and your sorted
