Anyone here with a boosted Falcon running an LP injection system - is so what brand and model, any comments/thoughts on it, how well does it run, performance difference between LP and petrol, what was the cost?
I have seen that there's a fair few people running older style LPG systems - but not interested in them.

There is a 350rwkw BA XR6T on street fords forums.

Quote:
Glad you all like it... :-)

Who did the install? A place in Dandenong called SWIFT AUTOMOTIVE... They did the original install, but nothing worked (no, it wasn't their fault...)

I was running Seimens 60lb injectors at the time, and we "thought" we had matched the flow rate with the gas injectors and the Seimens... But it is never that easy. The Seimens were running at 65% to run 335rwkw... So, as Liquid Injection uses the same fuel mapping/computer, they were also running with only 65% duty cycle... And hence, it wasn't getting enough fuel as they were not flowing enough...

What did I do? We installed (Myself and Mick @ PitLane Performance in Frankston, who is also my tuner) 42lb Bosch 968's... Which with a 95% duty cycle were producing 350rwkw with the same boost and timing... And also giving much better fuel efficiency... Then we tried the gas... It was all sweet until about 3000rpm... Then the AFR was too low, so we dropped it off at APS in Frankston and the Australian LPG Warehouse... They then had a crack at it (AUS LPG Warehouse makes Liquid Kits and is the main distributor in AUS)...

So, they played around with the injectors, trying to flow match them and did ok, but were still not getting enough fuel... Next option (and no, it wasn't happening this fast! We were going step by step to see what each change did...) was to install another fuel pump... ie. run twins in the tank...

We did this and it worked! Yay (after about 2-3 months and lots of testing....) Getting 350rwkw on gas... Yes, just stock gas from the petrol station... We didn't try it on the dyno with 100% propane gas which has a higher octane rating... so, I will do that in future...

Anyway... There is my short LPG story...

In regards to the colour... I love it too... And the wheels... They are getting bigger. But I cant decide on what to get... I want the same wheels, but bigger... currently they are 18X9 and 18X8... But I would like some 20s... Only problem. The 20's are 20X9 and 20X8... The 19s are the best as they come in 19X9.5 and 19X8.5... Which looks much better as they fill the guards with a deeper dish... Any thoughts? I really want 20s, but also want dish and not to run spacers...

Anyone seen any really nice 20s with dish (maybe 20X10) and they look good? Wouldn't mind black, chrome or shadow chrome centers...
