Id go 2x 12" L7s over 1 15" sub anyday 8-)

To me, 12's have a real tight tone compared to 15's, plus having 2 12" Kicker's thumping away in unison would look wicked

Wish i could fit a couple in my EF :twisted:

Yeah i guess it would be about the same, the quality of bass might be a little different though. Its like that with 2x 10's vs 1x 12" aswell.

I find with bigger subs like 15's the bass drones a bit and seems to lag in music when the beat is fast, whereas with 10's and some 12's its very punchy. I like 12's cause they're kinda in the middle and have a bit of both.

As long as the enclosures match the subs you should be fine with either 2 12's or 1 15. Id imagine the enclosure needed for the 15" would have to be pretty big to get it too sound decent.

Either way, when you get the install done, we wanna see pics :P

Depends what type of music you listen to, if you are into techno the small the better as they are tighter and faster. If you listen to Rap and stuff like that that is slower you can get away with a 15"

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it. The secret to a good sounding sub, is all in the box.

You have to make the box the right size for the sub. I can make a single 10" louder than a 15, while keeping it tight and responsive like a 10. There are downsides however (you can't have everything) - usually the ideal box is kinda large.

I'd choose 2 x 12s if they were my only options...but I like 8" and 10"s more. I listen to a lot of Hardstyle, fast beat music, so it works well with the THUD THUD...Goes well with some RnB as well if set out right.

As said before, depends on what music you listen to. If you listen to heaps of RnB where the bass hits really LOW, I would say 1 x 15" is good, if set out properly with proper enclosure.

phong =P~

You will find that the kicker has a cone area simmilar to a 15 inch one due to the kicker being square. I had a 12inch L7 years ago and it went incredibley hard. If you build a box to suit the sub with a decent amp you shouldnt need much more bass. but if you did want to go bigger I would suggest another L7 in either 12 inch or a 15inch

Just some rought figures (not going off actual specs).

12" square, gives 144sqin area
12" round, gives 113sqin area
15" round, gives 176sqin area.
