backfire damage to tmap sensor?

My car back fired to day and after woulds it would not ider right rough on gas fine on petrol go home pulled in to the drive way and put it in park it reeved to 2 k (on petrol)
the ics was dirty so i cleaned that and the throttle bode
strangly it runs better with the ics desconected
what im wondering is the some way to test the tmap sensor is with in spec (have meter)
i was thinking that the presser from the back fire may have damaged it
i tried useing shearch but that just hurt
