Just out of curiosity, when I use the sequential shifter to change gears, sometimes theres a clunk when it changes and sometimes its smooth as. What causes the clunking? and is there a way to avoid this when using the sequential shifter?
Cheers. |

I find the clunk is avoided when changing with spirited acceleration and the sequential crap when driving at slow speeds.

Yea I notice that too. Does it cause much or any damage at all to the box?

I don't expect it too as thats what its designed for but i dont use the manual shift unless im stuck in slow traffic or behind a slow car or quick start and stops that way the revs are up higher and the car comes on boost quicker to accelerate. normally my favourite is just leaving in performance mode as i feel it goes just as good. Manual mode is better on the 6 speed autos. Changes are a lot smoother.
