i just brought an xy rolling shell, anyone know where i can find out what all the numbers and letters on the id's mean, to see if it was an 8 or 6 man or auto, trim colour etc, would like to keep it original?

Bascially the build will be some thing like this
JG23YE32624 That would be JG- Melbourne built 23 Flacon GL Sedan Y 1982 E December and 32624 is the SIDO No( Single Item Dealer Order) The other options will be listed in specific panels What i do know is that these are the options listed for an XW GT( the bill bourke special) Model No 18938 18- Ford Family ID 9- Model Year 1969 3- Body Style (4 door sedan) 8- Luxary level (GT) Engine code T 351 4V V8 Transmission B 3 speed auto Paint B Onyx Black Trim B Black Vinyl Build options 03 Seat belts( yes they were optional in 1969) 06 Power Steer 40 Aircon 47 Delete hood pin kit 49 delete stripes Now bear in mind this was for a GT and the JG23YE32624 was actually for and XD GL, but you get the idea Brett
