Hey guys, I know The BF falcon has these automatic headlights and I'm pretty sure the BA doesn't. Am I correct? I want to buy a BA cos there'a not much different to a BF but that's the only thing that stops me. Can the BA be modified to have this feature? If not I'm gonna buy a VZ Bombadore cos they have this feature standard. Please let me know what you think. Thanks heaps.

yeah but the thing is, in the commo especially the Omega which is my work car. The lights stay on after you locked the car at night. And if it's night time when you unlock it, the lights comes on. I find this feature super cool cos I like useless things. So does the BF do the same? I know the FG does but my funds doesn't stretch that far. thanks

What you want is again easy.
leave the headlights turned on.. put a relay in line with them.. and hook it up to trigger from accessories and your headlights will only be on while the key is... my work impreza had that feature too.. many cars do now. |

You dont want the lights on everytime you turn the car on. The headlights need to be triggered on by a light sensor not by accessories. Supercheap had a "Automatic headlight kit" for $30 which they have since stopped supplying. I installed the kit to my DF, it works a charm. Comes on everytime it gets dark.

I know that.. he is asking for two different things.
1. Auto headlight on. 2. Lights off with key. using the relay and accessories gets you number 2. Number 1 is the kit I mentioned in the first post. |

Yes I want that light sensor kit. Would there be anyways of turning it on when i unlock the car with the remote at night? But beside this can I make the BA have auto headlights like the BF? I'm kinda thinking BF BEM (rare?) or just grit my teeth and buy a BF?

The actual headlight/taillights or the interior light, to come on when unlocked via the keyfob.
I'd Assume the interior light comes on when unlocked with the keyfob, as my ef it does, if headlight, not something I'd quite want but you could, say hook up the sensor kit through a relay going via your door locks or something related to it. by the way you say your omega does it, wouldn't that be a ve?, are you sure it's the same as vz in that respect anyway. Lastly I'm pretty sure the auto headlights came in ba mkII actually come to think of it yeah you mean the headlights and reverse lights i believe, just remembered se that on my bosses malloo and wondering why the f**k, no offense maybe it's alright in seriously dark areas but personally I thought it just looked a bit stupid, like when we had to change his flat tyre. jack the back then the front etc.

You're saying the BA MkII have this headlights fucntion? will head down to the dealer tomorrow. I like it because it's gimmicky. My EA I'm over it having problems all the time.So now it's time for an upgrade. Still keeping the box car though. I like the looks of it more than BA/BF. Thanks mate.
