thanks to some drunkards at a local pub my radier no longer has an aerial i thought "no biggie", thats untill i went looking to replace it, i tried bullseye, auto one, super cheap, repco, ALL of them had nothing but model specific aerials, and NONE of those were universal or non electric even good ol Big W couldnt help me grrrr, "ok stuff em all i'll just try a google search" i said to myself - nope no luck either "car tv antenna" - "car mobile phone antenna" - "windsheild antenna" grrr

i remeber haveing a metal universal antenna years ago that was about a meter (+) tall with copper wire wrapped around the center of it (probably as a booster not sure) that worked bloody fantastic untill a horse decided it looked like a tasty snack!

so if anybody knows what the above antenna im talking about and whewre to get it or if they know where i can pickup ANY decent universal metal aerial that is non vehicle specific non electric and flat mounted that would be great

oh ps: the old trick of using a metal coat hanger is not working im affraid

Have you shape it as Australia yet, I've heard it's all to do with the cape that it works best.
