Hi guys,
Im thinking of moving up to the ACT from Victoria for a year. My car is pretty standard, I've got- Darker than legal tint -should not be an issue Standard xr wheels all that standard stuff The only thing I could see to be an issue is- When i installed my 6x9 rear speakers I cut holes in the shelf. Now there is so much going around about the legalities of this, and im thinking it could cause me some issues cause once up there technically I have to get a roadworthy to drive on ACT roads. I know I can put it off as long as possible. But if I have to does anyone have any tips, advice, or ideas???? Any help would be great. Thanks

If its only for a year keep it rego'd in Vic and dont change your licence over.
Rego and licence at a friends or familys place.

hey dude. I moved to ACT in Oct from NSW and still havn't changed anything over to ACT.... should do it within 3months of living here but I don't think they can prove that you are or are not living here....
Technicaly you are on a lengthy "working holiday" for a year... I just drive back to NSW for a day and got the Rego done... just use a mates or families address

you could try getting an uncut parcel shelf carpet and swapping it over? and fitting a ghia carpet lining to the underside?
