I now have to fit my towbar and wanted to double check about the trailer wiring. I read in the tech doco that something needs to be rerouted? Do I need to do anything special or can I just wire as per normal - I don't want to fry my cluster...

Any help appreciated

Cheers
RD

It's only an issue if the bulb out facility is used with tailights and stoplights.

hey I fitted the fairlane cluster to my car as well and it keeps beeping at me, is this due to the fact that I havnt wired up the door sensors yet?

Most likely because the 'Check Susp' bulb is blown, or not there.

Hey Mr Snap.. since you're answering fairlane cluster questions.. I have one for you... (two actually)

- Does using LED brake and indicator lights pose a problem with the Fairlaine cluster?
- What do I need to do to not fry my cluster and use the trailer? According to the tech doc you can fry the cluster by plugging in the trailer?

-High mount LED stoplight is no probs, others, don't know.

-Use relays for trailer.

Changed the bulb, tried a few different ones and its still beeping at me! The beeping starts after about 30 seconds when the key is turned to 'ON' and when the car is running.

It's so irritating and its driving me crazy! The only thing not connected to the cluster is the bulb out.

The beeping has stopped a few times but when I've had to pull the cluster back out to do something else it's started again. Any other ideas?
