ok, iv gone through the DIY shift kits thread many times,
(http://www.fordmods.com/gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/shift-kit-do-it-yourself-t2378.html) unfortunatly, so many people have said a few different things, so i need to know which pins i use? as far as i can tell: i use a 20ohm instead of a 18ohm, and a 1 ohm instead of a 5.6ohm. i have all these resistors anyways. pin 7 is used instead of 71, and pin 29 is used instead of 81 not on the ECU but on the TCM? sorry but i just need confirmation as any information on the V8 side of things is external and the sites have long since died, no1 else seems to know what the hell to to... i have seached right throught the thread, and came out the other side with a vauge understanging. thanks for anyone who can help... |

It should be the same, why should a v8 be any different, I used the diagram in that article and mine works in my i6?

its different because in V8s the trans is controlled by a separate ecu, unlike the i6
its the same setup but different pins and different resistors |
