Hey guys, just wondering what causes axle tramping?
driving home today, dropping the clutch it would light up the rear tyres,but sort of jump and didn't feel too good..its never done this before and done it twice tonight..whats could be causing this? |

mine was bad like that, especially at the track..... and only started when i converted to manual, and now ive gone back to auto the problem is gone !!

my car used to axel tramp like a mofo, when i put my new LSD in it went in with new bushes (same shocks and springs) now no axel tramp.

Comes down to a lot of things, suspension, bushes, size of your wheels, harmonics. I've had new bushes, new suspension, rebound plates, added extra clamps to stiffen up the leaves and still had axel tramp issues which has most likely been caused by 19's with low profile tyres.

also check your tyre pressure, if its too high it can also cause tramping

diff pinion angle,if your bushes are worn and it changes your pinion angle this will happen more so if its lowered.

When i had my ED, I suffered massive axle tramp with a stuffed LSD, spooled it and the tramping went away
