My mate has an EF falcon.

on the weekend it was backfiring and not running right and found that dizzy thing where the dizzy is ment to go was loose. But before that the car wouldnt restart.

Anyway that, the ECU, CAM, BEM has been replaced and reprogrammed for smart lock because there was no spark, even replaced the coils.

But I think it might be smart lock because it before it stuffed up smartlock was having issues it was just "Cranking" and the smart lock light was flashing rapidly and playing up.

But now it flashes normally, when you turn the igition on it just goes off. and when you start cranking it, it just flashes like it normally would if the igition is off.

Any idea because everything has been changed etc done properly and it still wont fire.

1: does the odometer display illuminate?
2: are you sure you programed the bem correctly?
3: did you insert a 3mm drill bit into the synchronizer to set the timing? (wont make a huge difference)
4: did you undo/damager of disconnect he CAS (crank angle sensor) wires? also inspect the CAS, above the harmonic balancer.
5: fuel? is the pump going?
