Winter is coming.

And I park my car in the garage.

Does leaving the car bonnet open when it's parked overnight do any good for the car?

The only thing opening your bonnet will do is let it cool down faster initially. After that, nothing

My personal opinion is if you leave your bonnet open when the car is parked it does more harm than good because cold weather kills car batteries, so if the bonnet is closed at least the engine bay will stay a bit warmer helping not kill the battery.

never heard that myth, although in Russia they light fires under their engines overnight, maybe thats a go'er :P

If it's been a rediculously hot summers day when i park up in the garage i'll leave the bonnet open, but otherwise i'll just leave it shut.

Just make sure you don't shut the bonnet and start the car with the cat inside the engine bay :D
