Subject pretty much says it, my XR8 is using a s**t of oil, no leaks anywhere.
It uses about a Litre a week. What would possible problems be?

blowby... caused when your piston rings are shot and oil is getting into the chamber. do you notice any amount of black smoke? particularly when you give it some stick? i say this because you might not notice it under idle but under load, when oil pressure is built up, that's when it might sneak away.
valve stem seals? anyone else?

The rings are worn and unless you can afford to rebuild it i would just run some thicker oil or an additive to thicken the oil.

I've been blowing blue smoke on cold starts for a while.
I swapped the oil to a thicker one. I think I went from 30W to 20W or something and it has significantly reduced the blue smoke on cold mornings. It only lingers for a short while in comparison to 5 mins before. Either valve stem seals or piston rings but I doubt it'd be the rings. The car's been babyed around for ages.

How many K's on the motor? A Windsor should easily do 300-400,000 if looked after.
