Hi all....
Went to pick a part and got a rear window demister switch for my el futura sedan.....no problems. However when I got home and went to put it in I noticed it has 6 pins not 4 like mine. My plug fits it ok and the switch works.......I went back and found that the wagon plug was orange (mine is white) and has different contacts in the plug to match the switch and also heavier guage wiring. I wonderered around a bit more and found another sedan that had a blue plug which matched the 6 pin switch!!!!! I'm totally confused.........why all the different configurations - 4/6 pin switches, 3 types of plugs, different guage wiring.......... ?????????? Cheers |

There are slight variations in cars, especially Wagons with Bench seats and column autos.
The switch may have been a demister, but plugged into the economy plug. Don't forget some cars have Demister, Rear Wiper, Economy Function and Also aerial height. Then people add gas gauges and other crap to the loom at that point.
