An aLmost compLeted auto to manuaL conversion in my XE, have removed FMX and fitted cLose ratio topLoader using windsor beLLhousing, 289 sandwich pLate, 57 teeth windsor fLywheeL, tried using my fORD auto starter motor by repLacing auto snout with manuaL but no way it wouLd fuLLy Locate into sandwich pLate (2 bolts did Line-up). I have a Bosch manuaL starter motor which fits perfectLy but this is where my probLem begins, WIRING IN.. Is it just a simpLe matter of keeping aLL the heavy power side cabLes together from rat-trap remote soLenoid and running an heavy extension cabLe from these to the bosch soLenoid main and running the 2 lighter wires from remote soLenoid down to the bosch solenoid push-ons? car has been rewired so these 2 lighter wires on remote soLenoid are 1 red and 2nd bLack..
I hope someone can make sense of what I'm trying to expLain, any heLp much appreciated..
WiLL Load pictures to my gaLLery if needed..
Cheers aLL:)

run a decent jump lead (30amp wire) from the battery cable bolt on starter to the push on terminal marked 's' and it will work same as the rat trap. no need to change anything then
