I have a stock 302 clevo.

What would be some basic mods to wake it up a little?

Best thing to do is a 351 crank. How many k's and what condition is it in? Is it due for a rebuild? Easiest things are to get it flowing, extractors, and a nice manifold to suit your driving.

Nothing beats the good old 351 clevo

But yeah as ash recommended, good quality headers, and a suitable matching intake manifold and carby setup will get the ball rolling

The motor is stock but not very old & in very good condition.
What sort of carby & manifold would you suggest?
Are 302 & 351 2V clevo extractors the same? I would like to put a 351 in the car a bit down the track.

edelbrock performer air gap, 650 dp , pacemakers, twin 2 1/2, and a decent cam which pulls to 6000-6500.

...and roller rockers. those pressed ones are crap, especially if asking higher RPM's. get the heads worked on.

Before u get to the big stuff other guys are suggesting, maybe lean on the timing a little - a few degrees can make a big difference and wake it up - just beware of detonation, tho....
