Hey guys, been on fordmods for around 2yrs, and thought it would be time to post up the falcon.
i bought it in 2007 from a guy that only used it to transport golf clubs as they didnt fit in his porsche. It had 48000 on it and was immaculate in and out. Then ive slowly been building upon it from there on anyway ill map it out: 2002 AU3 Ford Falcon XLS Ute Engine: -Replacement Coil -Bosch Platinum Plus plugs -Calibre Pod Filter in box, with alu piping -XR8 snorkel -Speed holes in the bottom front of airbox -Pacemaker Extractors -Redback 2.5in system single muffler. Suspension -Lowered Front on KYB shocks with SuperLow King Springs -Lowered Rear with replacement King SL Leaf springs Interior -Leather Auto Shifter -Blue LED cluster with red arrows (like BA) -Sony headunit -JL Audio 5 x 7 fronts to Pioneer Amp -Kicker 6x9 in the rear to a Pioneer Amp Exterior - 18inch Typhoon wheels - Quig Electric roller hard tonneau - Longhorns I have done all the work to it so far i feel as though a mod is tenfold more exciting if your the one that battled to make it work I did my 1st "logbook" service on it today which was kind of rewarding, feels good not handing a few hundred over to a mechanic and using better products on the car. Used Shell Helix oil, ryco filter, also did the air filter and serviced powersteering pump, and new serpentine belt. My gf works at Supercheap so i get 25% there, which helped with the lowering cost lol. and the calibre pod The rear 6x9's i rebuilt a fibreglass box and plate to mount them to the wall ill try get a decent pic of it. The car runs really nice, and has been reliable only real issue was it dropped a few cylinders and i needed to replace the coilpack. Future plans include Cam and a piggyback chip/tune (SCT). And id like a momo wheel and better sound as well, however i prefer to listen to my engine. Im currently started my next project that is a 1927 Ford T Model Roadster with a 351 cleveland so thats consuming the car funds at the moment. I got 1 photo atm and will get a few more tomorow of engine and interior after i give it a clean. |

It is a roller hard cover, with a switch that operates it from inside the cabin. therefore to get in it requires breaking into the car. it can withstand hits from sledgehammer (according to manufacturer)
The place that did it is on the Gold Coast and there web address is http://www.quig.com.au/ its handy cause its hard, but can roll away like taking off the tarp |

I reckon its a good design cause if you want to carry something bigger in you tray then you cant close the Hard lid. Where as with this you can.
