Are metallic brake and accelerator pedals better than rubber ones?

I'm thinking of getting metallic ones

They are selling metallic ones cheaper than the rubber ones.

I was wondering whether the rubber ones were better

the rubber ones look a bit plain, but your feet will grip them better ( especially when the soles of your shoes are wet!! ) other than that, you can get some decent "sports" pedals, but dont expect to find them in your local supercheap store for $20

I believe there is an ADR requirement for there to be some sort of rubber/grip material on the pedals, to reduce the chance of your foot slipping off if wet ect. Therefore, full medal foot pedals could be cause for a defect notice.

This is correct for the brake/clutch pedals. I have the Genuine BA XR's (Same as sic_xh, so there is no point posting pics). The accelerator is 100% plastic, and the dots on the brake/clutch pedals are rubber (except for the torx screw that goes through them)
