I remember when I first filled up my wagon, had just bought it and it was already on gas. Me and old matey potatey figured it out pretty quick, but initially we looked at it and were like WTF is this!?!

It may interest you to know that when LPG first became popular back in the early 1980's, the ordinary motorist was not allowed to fill their tank themselves. It HAD to be done by the garage operator, and heavy gloves were supposed to be worn. Eventualy though (obviously) this was phased out.
I haven't bought petrol for my car(s) since 1985. |

my boss's missus is too afraid to fill up her car with unleaded!!!! she always goes to this one servo which does it for her. **sigh**
there is a principle here i think: if ya cant operate all functions of a car.... DONT DRIVE THE f**k THING!!! (same sort of rule: a mate has a harley, and he deliberately removed all the electric starting wiring. and quote "if ya cant kickstart my girl, ya cant ride the b**ch")

I haven't bought petrol for my car(s) since 1985. Yeah but that was before Automatic Fill Limiters (AFL), you had to bleed it until you seen liquid like filling up a BBQ bottle. (Taxi drivers commonly overfilled on purpose because they were fools) You might remember that the boot had to be sealed from the passengers too, the cylinder didn't have a valve compartment so a leak could leak into the boot and the pressure relief had a pipe plumbed to the outside, you could usually spot it poking out one side of a rear quarter pointing up with a cap on it.

that's a nice video. Still, we aren't allowed to do our own thing of filling up our tank. And even it it's possible here, I won't try it either.

anyone get turned on by those fat hands grabbing the Nozzle LOL, yes you poke that big thing in there!
they forgot to add how to blow dirt out of the filler valve LOL at the lpg installer that told me to do it. when they leak back they might have dirt in em, so just push the valve with ur key.... and marvel at ur frozen arm hair and shirt. fixed the leak. |
