Hey mate I'm not sure which it is as the photos are a little funny, but ef and el are different ef has black buttons el have grey, they work slightly different so aren't cross compatible, although you can switch the button across if need be.

No Idea, bought it back in approx 2002 and was going to put it into a EF XR6
I had but ended up selling before doing so.
It had been packed away and decided to go through my stuff.

Thought you could use it on either model.

Is it a fair price I am asking as by memory I paid like $150 for it back then
and dont know what they are worth now.

Personally I'd say it's to high, I was selling them on ebay for 40-50 bucks, but nothings selling anymore, you might get 50 because of the condition, but there not actually that hard to come by in good nic, since only really the blue and red fade off the temp button sometimes leaving white, I have one in my thread out of an NL for 30, can't remember whether the temp buttons faded on that one or not.
